Hey NHS Members!

This is your Members page. You'll find everything you need as an NHS member here. Below are links to check your total hours status, check which events have occurred throughout the year (numbers of events match the event numbers on the total hours spreadsheet), and a complaint form for any discrepancies in your volunteer hours. Please keep in mind that all hours are updated by the NHS executive board at least once a month!

Members

All members are required to earn a minimum of 10 hours for the year 2022-2023. There will be no exceptions to this expectation. Seniors must complete their hours by May (exact date TBA) and there will be an announcement for the final event of the year.

All events can be found on the Event Calendar page, including weekly events. Please read all instructions carefully. Read the event descriptions carefully as well, and always contact the event's leading officer using their contact information from the event description if you are unable to make it to the event. Failure to notify the leading officer of an event absence before the event or shift start time will result in a strike.

All NHS apparel has been distributed for the 2022-2023 school year. If you have not received your NHS shirt, crewneck, or hoodie, please stop by the band room and speak with Mrs. Sproul. Remember, you must wear your NHS shirt to all events you attend.

NHS members can only earn hours through NHS events. For example, if you are a Boy/Girl Scout, intern at a nonprofit organization, tutor, volunteer participant from a club/church/etc., or volunteer your time to serve the community as an individual, with friends, or with your family, the number of hours you earn through these activities will not count for NHS hours.

NHS hours can only be earned through NHS events, NO exceptions.

If you have a suggestion for a possible NHS event or know a nonprofit/organization/business within the community that may benefit from volunteers, please contact Mrs. Sproul or an NHS Executive Officer about it.

If you are interested in becoming an NHS Officer next year, make sure you stay on top of your hours earned (the more the better!). Your number of hours earned, your behavior at events, and your passion for community service are just some of the things that will be used to consider you for our officer selection process.
